I am going to take a shot and try to introduce some really cool green energy products for the Public Safety Sector. Some of these products are after the fact type of products but I would say that is when most of the work is being done. I am going to address three areas; Power, Water and Light.
1. Power: When an emergency or crisis strikes, like the one in Joplin Missouri, power becomes one of the first concerns. We need it to charge batteries, provide power to medical devices and run several other devices to support the recovery effort. At Large Sales is now providing a Green Energy Source. There are several different sizes and applications but most important is the fact that they run on solar power. Initially, I thought great, solar power..how long does it take to charge it up and have it ready? I quickly learned that these devices maintain their charged power for a couple months and can be re-charged while in storage. The solar power becomes effective after the device is put to use. There is a single personal sized device called the EOS. It sets up in less than five minutes, creates no noise and is completely pollution free. More importantly you do not need to refill it with fuel. That eliminates the task of securing gas or diesel to keep generators running leaving more time for recovery efforts. The HELIOS is a custom built trailer with a solar panel on top to support what ever power level that is needed. These are designed specifically for the agency that wants to run specific equipment. There are some general builds, but we feel it is better to make sure it runs everything needed by design. What is realy nice is that much of the trailer is not used and can store personal generators, lights and water purification products (more on this later).
2. Water: Another necessary resource needed immediately after an emergency or crisis is water. Many times this can be the most difficult. Responding agencies will often immediately begin trucking water in from outside locations. This takes time, resources and most importantly..fuel. One way to be able to provide clean drinking water immediately is with the solar powered water purification system known as NEPTUNE. This product is available in several different sizes just like the solar generators. Emergency Responders can keep a pelican case sized system (Neptune 60S) in the back of their truck or vehicle that can immediately begin providing 1440 gallons of water a day purifying any salt free water source. If there were several of these available staged in an a specific area water, clean water immediately, would no longer be a concern. There are several products that could be deployed as well that will provide as much as 17,280 gallons a day and can fill several large storage devices at a time. No fuel needed!
3. Light: There are two very incredible light devices now available that provide a lot of light in a large area immediately. Again, no need for fuel to to refill generators keeping someone occupied just taking care of that task. The ORION is an inflatable light tower than can light up 10,000 square yards in under 5 minutes. Simply unzip the bag, plug it into 110 or an EOS and flip the switch. It inflates in about thirty seconds and the bulb reaches full illumination in about three minutes. If this were placed on the 50 yard line of a footbal field you could read a book in both end zones! Next, is the THEA. It is a trailer mounted light source with four high powered LED bulbs. It is adjustable from 12 feet to 30 feet high. It deploys in under five minutes, requires no fossil fuels and is designed to run from daylight to daylight. The device is also completely silent which becomes important when placed near communication or command posts. It remains plugged in to support a charged state of readiness when needed and completely recharges during the day.
Any one of these devices or a combination of them will provide excpetional support to any crisis. A strong combination would be to have the Helios designed to support communication and other needed equipment, a couple of EOS generators to deploy in single use areas and a couple Neptunes all stored in the trailer of the Helios. This gives you an immediate power, water and light source all tucked away in one place. Pricing is very, very reasonable and At Large Sales is committed to helping find revenue sources to secure this very important equipment.
