He strives to solve any technical problem and continues to look for cutting-edge technology solutions.
Who We Are
Before opening At Large Sales, Steven was a dedicated member of the military. His career started at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, in 1980 where he enlisted as a 19D Cavalry Scout. He was then assigned to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment in Ft. Bliss, Texas, moving to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment as an Aerial Observer on the East/West German border during the Cold War. From there, he moved on to the 101st Airborne Division as a motorcycle scout in the 2/17th Air Cavalry. In 1986, he went back to Germany and was selected to be a Bradley Master Gunner for the 3rd Armored Division before being sent back to Ft. Bliss to lead Bradley vehicles for the 3rd Cavalry Regiment. During his time in Texas, he was called to serve in the Gulf War. On Jan. 22, 1991, five days after the air war started, his platoon, 3rd Platoon Thunder Rats, was tasked to patrol a vacant region of the Iraq border – it was here that his platoon became involved in the first armed engagement against Iraqi forces during Operation Desert Storm.
After returning to the States, the U.S. Army Recruiting Command quickly drafted Steven. He served as a recruiter in Denver, Colorado; Laramie, Wyoming; Grand Junction, Colorado; and as a Special Forces recruiter at. Ft. Stewart, Georgia. He completed his nearly 22-year career in Joplin, Missouri, after being promoted to First Sergeant. Steven runs At Large Sales and proudly serves the Jefferson City, Columbia, and the Lake of the Ozark communities with safety technologies.
